Honorary President of Formula 1 Bernie Ecclestone has highly appreciated prospects of the Russian racer Daniel quata in the sport.
According to 86-year-old Briton, Quat can get an offer from a competitive team, if you show yourself in the course of the season 2017.
“He’s a talented driver, very dedicated. Now Kvyat is not the fastest in the team, but he has a chance to prove himself this season and get an offer from a strong stable,” said Bernie in an interview with the newspaper “Izvestia”.
Ecclestone added that over the next ten years Russia may have its champion in Formula 1.
“Why not? Gradually Motorsport comes out in Russia on new level, – said Ecclestone. – If Vitaly Petrov and Daniil Kvyat – a bright personality, then gradually in your country there is a system for training young riders. Businessmen are investing in the development of Motorsport, and it must bear fruit. Do not be surprised if in the next 10 years Russia will be a world champion”.
Also Ecclestone once again expressed his admiration for the Russian stage of the Formula 1 at Sochi Autodrom.
“I always enjoy coming to Russia, and Sochi in recent years has become one of my favorite cities in Europe – continued Bernie. – Remember how we started negotiations on the construction of the highway in this town. I came here and was a little discouraged. Were not entirely sure that Russia will manage to build such a great track in such a short time.
But after their assurances I gave to Vladimir Putin, I calmed down. I know that your President takes only weighed decisions”.
