The fans did not support the proposal for artificial improvement of entertainment races of Formula 1, such a conclusion can be drawn based on the results of a global survey conducted in the beginning of the season, according to AUTOSPORT.
In the survey organized by Motorsport Network, and continued for 19 days after the Grand Prix of Australia, was attended by more than 215 thousand fans from more than 190 countries.
The survey fans were asked to Express an opinion about possible changes in the sports regulations, which is scheduled to consider the management of F1.
As you can see by the results, presented on Friday in Monaco, the interest in innovation is quite small.
The least support for such proposed solutions as the weight of the ballast (23%), tyres with a rapid deterioration (22,1%), reversing the starting grid (15%) and artificial rain (12%).
Also, only 19% of fans called for the holding of Saturday’s race. A third of fans has supported the arrival involving third/reserve drivers, while only 14% liked the idea of separating the Grand Prix into two shorter races.
However, there are proposals that received more support. So, for example, 44% voted for the introduction of a ceiling budgets. More 54% think that the best round is to award points, from 69% would like to see the return of tyre wars.
58% voted for a return to refueling during the race, and 54% are not against reverse transition on atmospheric V8 engines.
Interestingly, 47% believe that the use of the DRS system has a positive impact on the entertainment races, although two years behind the moveable rear wing made only 39.5 percent.
Finally, more than 23% supported the resolution to use private client chassis.
