The former participant of the program of development Williams Susie Wolff is devoid of a driver’s license, reports the BBC.
In June 2015, the 34-year-old wife of Mercedes Motorsport head was speeding in the village of East Hanny in the County of Oxfordshire, driving at a speed of 56 km/h in a 48 km/h. At that time she already had nine penalty points. In November last year the court decided to deprive a wolf of a driver’s license for a period of six months, however, the former racer has appealed. The punishment was postponed until the court hearing, which took place on March 17.
“This is very embarrassing, explained Susie. – I am a professional ski racer, and a driving ban for speeding can have a negative impact on my reputation.”
Wolf also added that he is a role model for hundreds of girls participating in the program Dare to Different, trying to help them and doesn’t want to fail. In addition, without a license she will not be able to perform the duties of the Ambassador’s Mercedes.
Nevertheless, the court did not accept the arguments of wolf and left the decision in action.
“It can be understood in this situation, but it will be a useful lesson for everyone else,” said judge Sarah Campbell.
In addition, Wolff was fined £ 500 and required to pay court costs in the amount of 345 pounds and 15 pounds as court fees.
