The pilot Force India Sergio Perez in an exclusive interview to the British newspaper The Telegraph described how longed to realize his dream into reality, about Ayrton Senna and the season of 2017.
About following dream: “I came from Mexico to Europe at the age of 15 years. I came here alone. Sometimes loneliness has become a serious problem. But if I hadn’t come to Europe so early, I wouldn’t be sitting here in front of you. I had to make that decision to fight for my dream.”
About the training ahead of the season-2017: “It was the most intense and hard training period in my career. This is especially true of training of the neck and torso. New cars are very demanding to the pilots. They will squeeze all the juice out of your body.”
About the expectations for the season-2017: “We are expecting a long year, during which we will gradually upgrade your car. I believe that this year Force India can seriously add”.
On his idol: “As the pilot of McLaren, I always wanted to tell me stories about Ayrton. Senna has done a lot for the sport and for his country. He possessed a natural charisma, which he loved.”
On termination of the contract with the manufacturer of sunglasses Hawkers (after the election Donald trump President of the United States in the profile of Hawkers on Twitter there was a message: “Mexicans wear these sunglasses so that others do not see your tears tomorrow, when will be built the wall”):
“I did not like this comment. It seems to me that it’s not funny. I felt that it is disrespectful to my country. That’s why I decided to abandon cooperation with the sponsor. I want people to respect my country as I respect their country.”
