Contrary to the opinion of most of his colleagues, Sergio Perez believes that the new machine is no more difficult to manage than last year’s.
It was expected that because of the increase of speed in bends physical activity will increase several times. But, as acknowledged by the racer Force India on the tests in Barcelona it is not much of a difference noticed.
“I almost didn’t notice the difference in physical exertion between cars 2016 and 2017. I think this point has been somewhat exaggerated,” said Peres in an interview with Marca.
During the off season, Perez, like the rest of the riders trained hard, increasing muscle mass. As it became known, in the Force India asked its pilots to lose weight.
But a personal trainer Mexican Javi Martos believes that this will not affect the physical form of his ward.
“CECO is one of the most physically fit riders. He will not have problems with neck, even if I have to lose weight,” said Martos.
