Force India racer Sergio pérez has received an official warning from the stewards for being too slow back to the pits during today’s qualifying in Melbourne. The Mexican has exceeded the allowed time for four seconds.
Sports regulation article 27.4 States that the rider in no case must not go too slow or constantly ment path without good reason.
After the stewards heard Sergio and representative Indian team, they decided not to punish the rider as it not prevented other pilots.
“Peres, who was not constrained by none of the other riders was too slow for no apparent reason, in violation of article 27.4 of the sports regulations, the report says. – However, due to the fact that he has not prevented other pilots, the stewards decided that an official warning will be a sufficient punishment.”
Perez also became the first driver received a fine season 2017 for speeding in the pit lane.
