The winner of the race in Melbourne Sebastian Vettel and runner-up Lewis Hamilton looking forward to fight for the championship crown in the upcoming season.
Vettel and Hamilton have argued among themselves for the title in 2010, and then the triumph of the celebrated German.
“Lewis is one of the fastest riders in the peloton, and, of course, I’d like to compete with him for the victory in the championship, – said Vettel. – I think that now we have almost the same technique, so I’m hoping for an uncompromising battle. It is always interesting to argue for the title with the best”.
Both drivers have for each other the same respect. Hamilton said that he was honored to speak at the same time with Vettel. The British also hoped to compete with the Germans for the title this season.
“Now we finally can race on real – confessed Lewis. – I hope that the new cars we might even tighter to fight. The upcoming season will not be easy, it will be difficult physically and mentally, but Formula 1 is so good that there are fighting the best. The only way you truly progress”.
After winning in Australia, Vettel admitted that he does not want to make premature conclusions.
“It is not necessary for the first race to draw conclusions, – said Sebastian. – As I said, we must act gradually. Nice to know that we have a strong car, but this is only the beginning of the season. And we’ve got new cars, new rules, so you should still expect substantial progress from the teams.”
