The pilot of Renault Nico Hulkenberg has shared his impressions of the Grand Prix of Australia, which he finished 11-M.
Sebastian Vettel brought Ferrari their first victory of 2015!
“The first round was not the most successful: I tried to overtake Kvyat on the outer trajectory in a 13-m turn, but he forced me from the road, which I missed forward Alonso – said the German. – I had nothing to do with Fernando, despite the fact that was much faster than him.
The last part of the race on the tires Ultrasoft is very good: the car went faster and faster, but I could not rise above the positions.
I liked the battle with the Window and Alonso: I was able to use a double slipstream and DRS to make the maneuver. I think the audience also appreciated this spectacular moment.”
Another pilot Renault Jolyon Palmer failed to finish due to problems with the brakes.
“Despite the fact that I started the race on the hard tyres at the start I managed to play several positions, – said the Briton. – The pace was quite normal, and I could see ahead of Nico and Esteban.
Unfortunately, the brakes failed in the 14th turn. We were hoping that it’s only a minor fault, but the problem repeated itself. We had no other option but to go.
Of course, the beginning of the season was formed for me not the best way. But bad experience is also experience. Now we will prepare for China.”
