The last hope of the Manor to participate in this season of F1 has collapsed after team owner Stephen Fitzpatrick formally withdrew the application for participation.
Despite the fact that the parent company Manor Just Racing Services ceased operations earlier this year, the application for participation was still relevant.
Recently there were rumors that Chinese investors associated with the Manor team in the WEC, interested in the F1 team, however, the miracle did not happen, and, as reported AUTOSPORT.com the owner of the team is Stephen Fitzpatrick wrote to the FIA official letter in which it confirmed the withdrawal of the team from F1.
Thus, those who purchased the remaining assets of the Manor, you can get the team back on the starting grid in F1 only if you register it as a new team. And this, of course, not only costly, but lengthy process.
In the near future the FIA should release an official list of participants of season 2017.
At the moment Barcelona are the first pre-season tests, and the start of the season will take place at the end of the month in Melbourne.
