Hamilton, in turn, settled for sixth place in the Protocol.
“Overall, the day went smoothly with no problems. Of course, the road ahead is still a lot of work, but this day was definitely productive, – said the Briton. Now in F1 a lot of fun. The new machine is just incredible. But this car is a mystery: the faster, the harder it is to squeeze most of it.
It was nice to see the fans with banners in the main grandstand. I am grateful to all who came to support us.”
Valtteri Bottas added: “the Whole test program went as planned. Admittedly, I felt the car much more comfortable once the team has made adjustments to its configuration in comparison with Tuesday.
With each trip to the track I feel the car better and better.
On Wednesday, we concentrated on short periods. In addition, I tested the aerodynamic upgrades.
Fast circles now is not important to anyone. The important thing is, how you look in Melbourne. I’m just glad we were able to perform the planned test program.”
