Kevin Magnussen believes that a chassis that Dallara is supplying Haas, is no worse than the chassis of the Renault and McLaren that were used in those years when he played for these teams.
Kevin made his debut in F1 in 2014 on the chassis of the McLaren MP4-29 and tested the MP4-30, and in 2016, went to Renault RS16.
In the pre-season tests in Barcelona, Dane worked with VF-17 and were satisfied with the chassis from Dallara.
“Dallara is doing a great job. I’m impressed – quoted by Magnussen AUTOSPORT.com. I heard that they were much better. I wasn’t in the team last year, so I can’t compare with the season in 2016, but this year the car’s chassis is made of very high quality.
It is quite possible to compare with the chassis, which I competed before in his career, so I’m quite happy.”
In the first block of tests Kevin has shown 12-e time, and in the second block took 15 th place, one position ahead of his teammate Romain Grosjean.
Director Haas Gunther Steiner pleased with the progress the 24-year-old racer.
“It is well adapted in the team, said Steiner. We are gradually making progress, and it is very important. He likes everything in Haas”.
