Consultant to Red Bull Helmut Marko commented on the start of the season for Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso, and told how, in his opinion, should be the engine of the new generation.
“In Australia it turned out that in the race we are much closer to the leaders than in qualifying, was quoted in Marco Speedweek. – With a full tank for the first stint we were pretty slow, but then things got better. We need now to correctly identify all the weaknesses of the car and something to do with them”.
Marco also added that the new tyres can operate optimally only within a very narrow window, and the problem with the transmission on the car of Daniel ricciardo on the installation circle could happen after Saturday’s departure: “the Mechanics then worked without a break, so could easily make a mistake”.
With regard to the meeting of teams and manufacturers in the following Friday about the regulations in 2021, Marco knows exactly what is to be made on the agenda: “To teams, clients need to make the maximum value of the motor in ten million euros, and return the single system kinetic energy recovery (KERS) instead of ERS with two motor-generators. The engine should again be loud and powerful.”
