F1 veteran Felipe Massa is confident that his newfound partner, 18-year-old canadian racer lance Stroll, be sure over time will progress.
During the pre-season tests in Barcelona, Stroll several times got into an accident that resulted in serious injuries of the car, and last week during training in Australia canadian again flew into the wall.
His experienced partner decided to remind critics of lance that he constantly made mistakes during his debut 15 years ago.
“He’s only 18. When I was his age I made mistakes too, – admitted Felipe in an interview with Brazilian broadcaster Sportv. – The fact that everyone needs time. So I’m sure he will add”.
Last year, Felipe was ready to end his career, but a chain of events in which Valtteri Bottas took the place of departed Mercedes of Nico Rosberg, and the Finn took the place of lance Stroll, provoked the team to beg him to return to the Royal race.
Massa is sure that his talent partner will be disclosed.
“After a not very successful tests its the start of the season too was not the best way, – said the Brazilian. In such a situation he needs to be patient. I try to give him all his knowledge to help him to understand. I know him since he was eight.
I would love to help him develop and try to establish a strong partnership this season,” added Massa.
