Red Bull: We expect a massive update of the Renault engine to Canada
“Honestly, I don’t think we’re too far from the Mercedes,’ said Christian in an interview GPUpdate.net. Ferrari did well in Australia. She must have the fastest car. We have the third fastest car.
We need to find approx half a second to battle with the cars ahead. Max throughout the race [in Melbourne] customized Kimi [Raikkonen], but he lacked pace compared to Vettel and [Lewis] Hamilton”.
Horner is also confident that the team has chosen the right concept of development chassis RB13 in terms of the new regulations.
“Too early to draw conclusions – continued the Briton. – The fact that the regulations are still very raw.
We chose a different concept of development of the machine, and I am confident that our chassis has huge potential”.
