Former F1 commercial rights holder Bernie Ecclestone will attend the third phase of the championship of F1 in Bahrain.
This is the first appearance of Ecclestone this year on the stage of F1 in the status of honorary President of the FOM.
As reported by German publication Auto Motor und Sport, Bernie accepted an official invitation from his close friend of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad bin ISA al Khalifa, who attended a farewell party 86-year-old Briton arranged by Flavio Briatore in London.
The boss of Red Bull Racing Christian Horner during the weekend in Melbourne admitted what it’s like to visit the first stage without Ecclestone at the head of the management F1: “does Anyone know for sure that he is not in charge? I’m sure he will visit several upcoming stages. I hope that the new owners will be able to make constructive use of his knowledge and properly develop the work already started”.
