Vice-champion of GP2 2016 Antonio Giovinazzi expressed the hope that he will be the next Italian driver in Formula 1.
The last time the Italians were present in the peloton of the “Royal races” in 2011, when performed Vitantonio Liuzzi and Jarno Trulli. This year, Giovinazzi joined Ferrari as a reserve driver, and at the first tests in Barcelona, Sauber have replaced injured Pascal Wehrlein.
