Head of Mercedes Motorsport Toto Wolff and non-Executive team Director Niki Lauda extended his contract with German concern until 2020, reports BBC Sport.
Previous agreements both of the Austrians, signed four years ago, finished the action at the end of 2017.
It is noted that Wolff will retain a 30% stake in the team, and Lauda – 10%.
“In 2013, we restructured the leadership team with a clear goal to improve the work efficiency, – commented the head of Daimler Dieter Zetsche. In subsequent seasons the results have exceeded all our expectations. A key factor in this success was a combination of entrepreneurial skills, Toto, and experience Nicknames.
The extension of the contracts will allow to preserve the continuity of our program in the next four years”.
