Racer Force India Sergio Perez told about what you did over the offseason, and shared expectations from the upcoming race year.
“Presentation of a new car is always one of the most interesting events of the year, said Perez at Silverstone. – The offseason was tough, because quite early on I had to start training.
The transition to the new generation cars that are much faster, can be compared with the transition from GP2 to Formula 1. From a physical point of view it will be difficult, because the load will seriously increase.
I trained very hard, but the first day of testing will still be very tedious”.
Season 2017 will be the fourth for Perez in the Force India, and Mexican believes that such stability should help him.
“It helps me feel very confident, – he explained. – After four years in the team I can say that I’ve never seen such a stable organization.
I feel confident knowing that working on that car checked people.
Last year, we were fourth in the constructors ‘ championship and at the end of the season was really only the fourth team in strength. It gives me confidence.
I completely trust our team – people working on the car. It will be a very interesting year.”
In 2017, Perez will be the new teammate, Esteban Windows, which replaced the team of Nico Hulkenberg.
“I hope to leave it behind, but you never know! – said the Mexican. – However, it is always good when you can fit each other, as was the case with Nico.
I think Windows will be quick, and stay ahead of him will not be so easy.”
