Team McLaren-Honda via Twitter has confirmed that Fernando Alonso and MCL32 will return to the track in the second half of today’s test runs.
In the morning the double world champion drove only one lap on a new car, then the mechanics found a leak in the oil system of the power plant Honda.
McLaren-Honda had problems with oil system
The McLaren staff were able to rectify the fault and the machine is ready to go on the track after the lunch break.
“Update on tests: we were able to resolve the issue with the oil system occurred this morning. We will be able to get back on track in the afternoon”, says McLaren on Twitter.
