Former FIA President Max Mosley welcomed the decision of the new owners of Formula 1, the company’s Liberty Media to appoint former head of the team Mercedes Ross brown to the position of sports Director of the championship.
“Ross understands the sport and knows what needs to be done. This man has great analytical skills, – quotes Mosley ITV News. – I think it will be a very important asset for the new owners. The sports component is not the area that should interfere with Liberty Media. So the invitation of Ross – a great decision.”
Brown himself in one of his last interviews Liberty Media warned against hasty reforms in the Formula 1.
“Their actions can be successful and thoughtful, but it might well be that the reality is more complicated than they seemed,’ said Ross. – I always imagine as if I was appointed head of the equestrian sport and said: “Solve all problems”. It always seems easier. But when you start to study all files and documents, then you realize that you need time to figure things out”.
While brown noted that Formula 1 is in any case must develop.
“The previous successes do not mean that you cannot do more,” he added.
