Former Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo admitted that he made a mistake in supporting the idea of the introduction of new hybrid V6 engines in 2014.
Over a three-year era of the power plant of the Scuderia scored just three victories in 2015 and failed to compete with Mercedes.
“Yes, I made a mistake, admitted Luke. But I couldn’t even imagine that Ferrari can put in such a difficult position. My team wasn’t afraid of anything”.
At the same time, not so long ago, di Montezemolo found out that Mercedes, dominant in F1 for the past three years, started to develop the concept of the engines of ten years ago.
