Renault racer Jolyon Palmer admitted in an interview with the Daily Mail that one day I would like to be in F1 at the British Grand Prix with his brother will.
“That would be cool, – said Palmer. Will is younger than me six years so we never competed with each other. To accomplish this, I need to be successful in F1 and he will get here, so it’s a double dream come true for us.
Of course, we don’t have to be on the same team, and we would often quarrel”.
26-year-old Jolyon will hold this year, his second season in Formula 1, and will continue to compete in Formula Renault 2.0. In 2015 he also got the McLaren Autosport BRDC award.
“Next season I will definitely be in the Formula Renault, confirmed will. – Many F1 racers have passed the school of the championship, so I like this training.
I intend to win this championship, then go into GP3, GP2 and then in Formula 1. To speak with Jolina would be great! I want to compete”.
Jolyon said that will ahead of it, the pace of career development. 20-year-old racer was able to try out as a reward behind the wheel of a car F1 team McLaren.
“Until 24 years I have never sat behind the wheel of a F1 car, so will now on the right track,” notes Jolyon.
“Through tests I noticed, – expressed his opinion on the award of the McLaren will. – I had the best experience in my life, at this stage of my career is a significant step. I felt confident behind the wheel, because the car is almost perfect”.
Both brothers admitted that they take a cue from his father, former F1 racer Jonathan Palmer.
“Throughout the house were photos, helmets, overalls, racing has been an integral part of our life, – said Jolyon. – In the childhood I loved to watch F1, but decided to link their lives with it only in 13. From that age I had no other purposes.
I was damn hard, but I kept on walking and didn’t want to fold.”
