Dave Redding left his post as Manager of the team McLaren to join Williams.
In this position Redding who spent the last 17 years, the team from Woking, will replace chief mechanic Paul James.

Redding moved to McLaren in 1995, and before that for seven years he worked at Benetton.
After two seasons at Woking, he moved to Stewart, but in 2000 returned to McLaren.
