Ross Brawn, who worked with Jenson Button in the championship for him and the Brawn GP 2009 season, paid tribute to the fellow who likely spent his last year of competition in F1.
Next season Button in the cockpit will replace McLaren Stoffel Vandorn. The contract of Jenson with the team from Woking has a clause, according to which he can return in 2018, but the Jenson admitted that the 2016 was his farewell.
“Button is a very calm person. He’s not that aggressive rider in the team [as Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher, with whom I worked for Mercedes and Ferrari], admitted brown. Is an incredibly talented guy. I’ve always admired his skills and approach to work.
In addition, the button was very honest pilot. He was not one of those riders who were looking for excuses. When he felt that doing his job well enough, he honestly talked about it, and the team supported him.
I spent a wonderful time in one team with Jenson. I liked to work with him. I’m a big fan of his. It is definitely one of the top drivers in F1, which is the gentlemanly style of piloting the car.”
Recall that the button has been in F1 305 the Grand Prix. More races in F1 had only Michael Schumacher (306) and Rubens Barrichello (324).
