Mercedes driver Robert Wickens celebrated the victory in the second race of the DTM round at the Nurburgring.
The canadian grabbed the lead from Marco Wittmann immediately after the German returned to the track after his mandatory pit-stop.
Wittmann was not going to give up, and between them there was contact in the first turn, in which the two-time DTM champion lost second place to one more representative Mercedes Semi di Resta.
Fourth went to Bruno Spengler, and on the fifth has finished Maro Engel.
The overall leader of the season-2017 Mattias ekström started the 14, broke through on the sixth place. Added top ten Jamie green, Timo Glock, Augusto Farfus and Tom Blomqvist.
The winner of Saturday’s race Lucas Auer in the opening race went to third, but made a fatal mistake: in one of the turns too aggressively Austrian hit a curb, which caused a reversal, with the result that he retreated to the back of the peloton. Lucas saw the checkered flag 13th.
In the standings, ekström ahead of Auer’s nine points in two stages to the campaign end-2017.
