The racing division Audi Sport has unveiled a new car for the upcoming season in the DTM.
The presentation of the car is RS 5 DTM took place at the Geneva motor show.
This year in the German touring car championship comes into effect a new technical regulation, developed under Alliance with Japanese series Super GT, and on March 1 began a new cycle of homologation, which all three manufacturers presented the German racing Union [DMSB] the final version of his car.

A distinctive feature of the new RS 5 DTM from last year’s car is more aggressive aerodynamic design with a modified front part. On the back appeared the second flap, but to open will be the only one.
The ride height has been increased in accordance with the new rules aimed at reducing downforce and the introduction of more soft tyres, which should increase the role of the driver.
The transition to the two-liter engine, known to have been delayed until 2019, but Audi’s engineers replaced the intake system and air cooling in the current four-liter V8 to boost horsepower to over 500 HP, i.e. about 50 HP compared to the previous year.
In 2017, for Audi will be: Mattias ekström, Nico müller – the team Abt Sportsline, Loic Duval and Mike Rockenfeller – Phoenix, rené Rast and Jamie green Rosberg.
The new DTM season starts on may 5 at Hockenheim.
